Sue Cheung was absolutely wonderful, such an authentic, caring, gentle and relatable person who was absolutely perfect for the students!!

Janet Phillips, Head Librarian, Tomlinscote School, Surrey

Sue’s talk was spot on – the students and school librarians really enjoyed it – and she’s brilliant to work with, a real pro, which always helps! I can see her being in demand in a lot of secondaries.

Caroline Horn, Editor,

Sue came to talk to the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy and BTEC Art students during Global Entrepreneurship Week. She talked passionately about her journey in becoming a children’s book writer/illustrator and enthused with humour, energy and encouragement about realising potential. We would definitely have Sue in again and absolutely recommend her as a guest speaker!

The children at Poole Library fell in love with Angus and Alvin, and had a marvellous time creating their own aliens based on Sue’s engaging characters. Her passion for storytelling and illustration was obvious and inspirational. We are looking forward to having her back again!

Sue took a whole assembly and afterwards, took a workshop with Year 6 and showed them how to design and illustrate their own characters. The children went on to create their own characters using the skills that Sue had shown them. They were really excited to have the opportunity to work with a real author; she really inspired them to use their time to be creative and express themselves.

Sue came to share her book with our Year 1 children. they were mesmerised as she read her story and fascinated to see how she created her characters. They were inspired! The enthusiasm and quality of their story writing following the session was amazing!
